Zahid Zafar, MD
INTERNAL MEDICINE
Dr. Zafar has been practicing in the McKinney and Allen area for more than 20+ years. He has extensive experience in managing adult medical care in an inpatient and outpatient environment, treating acute and chronic diseases. Dr. Zafar is also very involved in independent assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing facilities throughout the Collin County community, as well as having privileges at Medical Center McKinney. Dr. Zafar is committed to providing his patients with an exceptional level of care and individual attention to their specific needs. Dr. Zafar is board-certified in internal medicine with completed postgraduate training at Wayne State University in Michigan. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Collin County Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the American Society of Bariatric Physicians.
Dr. Zafar resides in Frisco with his wife and three children. He enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and friends, and is very involved in his community.

Fouzia Junaid, APRN-CNP
INTERNAL MEDICINE
Fouzia Junaid is an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of clinical practice spanning acute care, wound management, and progressive care nursing. Before joining Premier Independent Physicians of McKinney-Lake Forest, she provided patient-centered care at Mobil MD in McKinney, Texas, where she specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of both acute and chronic conditions.
Her clinical background includes advanced responsibilities such as prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing minor surgical procedures, and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Known for her calm demeanor and critical thinking in high-pressure situations, Fouzia has also provided end-of-life counseling and education to patients and families facing complex diagnoses.
Fouzia holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing Practice from Barry University, earned her Post Acute Nurse Practitioner Certification from Purdue University, and Post Master Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Certification from West Coast University.
She has served as a wound care nurse practitioner and progressive care nurse, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and holistic patient care. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to continuous learning and to delivering care that is both clinically sound and deeply compassionate.
