Replacement Therapy
BioTe® Hormone Replacement Therapy
At select Premier Independent Physicians offices, providers offer BioTE Hormone Pellet Therapy, a form of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy designed to help patients address symptoms associated with hormonal imbalance.
Hormones such as estrogen and testosterone naturally decline or fluctuate as we age. When hormone levels fall outside of optimal ranges, patients may experience symptoms such as fatigue, mood changes, sleep disturbances, weight gain, brain fog, or decreased libido. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) aims to restore balance and help patients feel more like themselves again.
How BioTE Therapy Works
BioTE therapy uses small pellets containing bioidentical hormones that are inserted just beneath the skin during a brief in-office procedure. These pellets gradually dissolve and release hormones into the bloodstream over several months, providing consistent hormone levels without the daily fluctuations that can occur with pills, creams, or patches.
Because the therapy is personalized, providers typically begin with a comprehensive evaluation that may include:
A detailed health consultation
Laboratory testing to measure hormone levels
A personalized treatment plan based on symptoms and medical history
Pellets are typically replaced every 3–6 months to maintain hormone balance.
Potential Benefits
Patients experiencing hormonal imbalance may find relief from symptoms such as:
Persistent fatigue or low energy
Sleep disturbances
Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
Mood changes or irritability
Weight management challenges
Reduced libido or sexual wellness concerns
Bioidentical hormone therapy is designed to help restore more stable hormone levels, which may improve overall well-being and quality of life for appropriate candidates.
A Personalized Approach to Hormone Health
Not every patient is a candidate for hormone therapy. Providers within the Premier Independent Physicians network carefully evaluate each patient to determine whether BioTE therapy is appropriate. Treatment decisions are based on clinical evaluation, lab results, and individual health history to ensure safe and effective care.
If you are experiencing symptoms that may be related to a hormonal imbalance, speak with your provider to learn whether BioTE hormone therapy may be an option for you.
Who Is a Candidate for Hormone Therapy?
Hormonal changes can occur naturally with age or as a result of certain medical conditions. Patients experiencing persistent symptoms related to hormonal imbalance may benefit from a medical evaluation to determine whether hormone therapy is appropriate.
Potential candidates for BioTE Hormone Pellet Therapy may include individuals experiencing:
Chronic fatigue or low energy
Difficulty sleeping or poor sleep quality
Mood swings, irritability, or anxiety
Brain fog or trouble concentrating
Weight gain or difficulty maintaining weight
Reduced libido or changes in sexual health
Hot flashes or night sweats
Decreased muscle mass or strength
Both men and women can experience a hormonal imbalance. At select Premier Independent Physicians offices, providers conduct a thorough consultation and laboratory testing to evaluate hormone levels and overall health before recommending treatment. Not every patient is a candidate for hormone therapy, and treatment decisions are based on each patient’s medical history, symptoms, and test results.

The pellet slowly dissolves and releases hormones into the bloodstream over time, helping maintain more consistent hormone levels.Follow-Up Monitoring
Providers may schedule follow-up visits and lab testing to monitor hormone levels and ensure the therapy is working effectively.
Pellets are generally replaced every three to six months, depending on the patient’s metabolism, hormone levels, and clinical response.
